Early Spring and here at niche perfume house ORTIR Apothecari our Welsh roadside is awash with splashes of yellow making jolly any journey.
Miniature, fragrant, double-cuffed, daubed with orange, sometimes paper white, the daffodil family is as varied as it is charming.
Comprised of a central trumpet surrounded by six petals, slender of leaf and sure of stem they exude a scent that can be described as both green as well as floral. Much prized narcissus oil could be mistaken for hyacinth and jasmine when blended into perfume; for a similar scent experience that hastily picked bunch will do just as well this time of year.
Welsh gold.
