HAF Welsh Summer

REFLECTION

As September hits and the colours and scents of west Wales change once again here at our busy little independent perfume house we pause, taking a moment to ask ourselves how we should measure time.

Is it by season? If so, then how do we adjust to new normals (which are way way too hot for my taste).

Is it through productivity – then award me an F - my to-do list never shortens, ever lengthens.

And for many of us it is the rigid construct of term-time. Back to school, back to work, back to the daily grind.

Where did summer go? That much lauded promise of rest and respite?

If, like me you blinked only to greet September head-on with jumbled memories of too hot days and an overly busy mind then perhaps you should try HAF.

Welsh summer.

Bright, zesty citrus notes to transport you back to sunlit moments you were too busy to enjoy as you planned out daily schedules to occupy enquiring minds.

Remember the scramble for juicy ripe blackcurrants from local hedgerow? Here they are in spades, sweet and delicious on the nose.

Exhale. Inhale. There it is - that lingering scent of summer blossom floating on the breeze. Giving way to notes of warming sandalwood that transport you back to a late afternoon (mid-July?) kicking back watching the sun melt slowly on an endless horizon.

Summer scent memories.

Stuff of legend.

And if we may say so, a great measure of time.
