I have spent the past few days outside at our niche perfumery in West Wales.
Too cold for the dogs to join me but warm enough for me layered up in a couple of jumpers and a hat.
Like most of us in early February I’m lethargic: just enough discipline to sit at my desk. Not quite enough motivation to complete the task at hand. Everything looks and feels a little drab.
Venturing outside for some Vitamin D I find myself amongst new shoots bursting upwards through the soil. It’s literally a new lease of life.
Knowing that underneath dormant stems there is life ready to burst forth in full I find myself cutting and pruning with vigour.
Time flies, birds sing. I am so glad I made the effort to step outside.
